This is how I see it.

Will be happy for Arteta, Jesus, and Zinchenko, they've got loads of likeable young players who play in a nice way (Saka, Odegaard), and the Arsenal fans I actually know are nice people. Also, it's always nice to have a different kind of name on the trophy. Obviously they've won the PL before but not for two decades - also puts another hole in the theory that City are buying up every title and killing competition in the PL.

Yes, we're not halfway through the league season yet, plenty of twists to come. What I would reluctantly suggest is that we play the kids in the domestic Cup ties, the WC has really fucked the fixture schedule and for once I think we need to focus exclusively on the PL and the CL, though Pep probably won't do that.

I’m going to assess the situation with Newcastle

I used to be a Chelsea fan, but then I become a city fan but I’m not gonna be too hasty this time. I’m gonna wait a bit and see how the money affects Newcastle, and if they start looking like they could be dominant, then I will jump ship.

I’m sticking with City for now. I’ll probably stick it out as long as Pep does and then I think it’ll be about the right time to make the move.
