Which comedian doesnt make you laugh ?

Ricky Gervais

If he appears on my TV i turn it off instantly

Did you see him at that live charity thing.
He could not even just have a chat and chuck a few observational giggles in.
You or i could do that even, he is terrible.

He may be a good producer of comedy shows but not so good on screen ?
That said i have never liked his scripted stuff either.

Michael McIntyre - just shouts a lot, and totally unfunny.
Paul Merson - no fucking idea why anyone finds him funny.
Lee Evans - just don't get him.
Alan Davies - ?
Russell Brand - have tried watching him, but again I just don't get him.

and just for clarity, I do find the following funny:

Jim Jefferies
Woody Allen - have a CD of his and he was very, very good at stand up in his day.
Steve Martin - again, at stand up he was very funny.
Bill Hicks - just find him funny, and with everything that has gone on since his death I believe he would have had a bloody field day! The banking crisis, the second Gulf War and the Afghan campaign would have made his day.

Keith Lemon and any of the other characters/comedy the same bloke does. Just shouts stuff that he thinks is rude. 8 year olds do a similar thing.

John Bishop was funny. Then he went on TV and became a dick in a suit.

Lee Nelson and the other shite the same bloke does. Cringeworthy stuff. Same joke over and over again.

Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse. Shite. As are most sketch shows. Look at those insurance adverts that Whitehouse does. Nothing funny in them at all but he thinks it passes for comedy because his whole comedy career has been based on dressing up and repeating the same shit catchphrase over and over again.

Controversial one on here, I think, but the little I saw of Frank Sidebottom was crap.

Have to disagree here. I used to love the Harry Enfield show and Paul Whitehouse especially. Smashy and Nicey had the bosses at Radio 1 squirming so much they ended up sacking half of the presenters. Some former Radio 1 DJ's are still very bitter and resentful about their sketches. The Fast Show was great too. Rowley Birkin QC was utter genius.

No one has mentioned Hale and Pace yet. It's almost as if they never existed, yet they were one of the top acts in their day.

Russell Brand is the worst of all time but i didn't mention him as i dunno if his stand up attempts even qualified.
I really think he is that bad, just terrible.
This...
And Russell Howard, just dont get him!!
But could watch Sean lock all day.

I always thought lee Evans was funny but went to see him live and it was pretty shit.

I have come to the conclusion that I don't like watching live stand up. There is too much pressure to laugh at the jokes.
