Which English manager has the credentials to win the Premier League

Shankley, Busby, Graham, Fergie, even Dalgliesh won the title. Show me any English managers who could match their stats. I’ll wait. Sitting in the Garden drinking wine, chilled exquisitely, birds singing, etc etc.

I can hear the pipes.

Saunders, Paisley, Joe Mercer, Don Revie, Howard Kendall and Clough

I do think that since Pep arrived in England, football has moved on massively.

He's changed the way a goalkeeper has thought of. He's made 4-6-0 the greatest goalscoring formation ever. Central defenders should play like midfielders. Full backs are the most important players on the pitch. His impact on Liverpool and Klopp is incredible. I could go on.

There will be plenty of English coaches and managers looking at the greatest manager of all time and learning. I don't think we know who is he yet, but I guarantee when he comes through he will say Pep was his greatest influence.

Sir Bobby Robson stands out as the last decent Englishman managing in the top flight. He has a decent cv both home and abroad. Looking at the current situation I don’t really see any Englishman doing it again any time soon. The one I think will come closest of the home nations is a Welshman, Steve Cooper. Not with forest but with a bit of luck and the right club at the right time I’ve a feeling he’d do well.
