Not that I liked Shmeeichel, but I thought he gave us a great season with some outstanding saves, Anfield and the Maine rd derby spring to mind. And the way he fcuked Neville off in the tunnel was pure class. One disappointment was he bottled the ot derby.

Barton was a senior pro, Tandy was still wet behind the ears. Like it or not, higher standards are expected from the senior players. Was Tandy a fuckwit for doing what he did? Absolutely, 100%. And many players would have "persuaded" him not to do it again. But two wrongs don't make a right. Was it Gandhi who said, "an eye for an eye makes the world blind"? Maybe I'm just getting old!
