Think he is genuinely a real nice guy.

Have seen him interacting with some of the disabled children at some of our games and his willingness to engage with them.

Lots of interesting, larger than life personalities have played for City e.g. Summerbee (senior), Franny Lee, Rodney Marsh.
But, David Silva gets my vote for his cool, calm, understated personality that hid a big heart with mental and physical toughness.
He was kicked from pillar to post in his first couple of seasons, but just bounced back up, smiling.
His close control was amazing (similar to Zola of Chelsea), his passing could unlock defences and he was often dirty, when required.
The stress of his young son's illness, which must have been horrific, was quietly dealt with.
A fantastic footballer and an admirable person...

For a couple of seasons in the mid 80s our only genuinely exciting player was Clive Wilson, and for somebody so small he also scored a couple of brilliant diving headers v the rags and Liverpool

To me no player comes close.
I watched the 6.1 last week .
That made me realise if I didn't already know.
What an amazing player he was.
I thought at the time I appreciated how lucky I was to watch him play for City.
Watching that game back now i didn't fully appreciate how lucky I was and we all were to see him play for us.
At that time we had yaya.
Sergio etc.
World class players.
But he stood out.
Head and shoulders above any player I've seen in a blue shirt.
I loved paul lake.

What I'd give to see that man play for City one more time..el mago.
