Which Ex City player is City 2015 missing?

Well, we haven't got a bad side BUT......in the areas where we are weakest or need an option, Distan, Curle or Hendry at centre-back, Peter Barnes left wing and Paul Power as left side back-up, Mr. 100% and as a true blue, would set an example when we are a bit on the languid side. Negrado for 4 months was awesome and the Goat would be the awkward box finisher to complement Sergio. If it has to be one player as per the question.......Sylvain Distin (closely run by Peter Barnes.....)
 
David Pizarro would be my shout as well... alongside Fernandinho he would keep the play ticking over, a fantastic deep lying playmaker and excellent at set pieces. With injuries etc we didn't see the best of him but he was so composed he'd be an excellent alternative to Yaya.
 
Colin Bell is the reason I support City so it is very hard to leave him out, I just feel that if the Ferns, Delph and Ya Ya are all available and given the attacking options in front of them the 2 areas that require a little bit extra are centre-back and pace on the left-hand side, hence Distin just getting the nod.....but the call for the King is growing on me.....
 
Sweep circa 2003-04, would be amazing surrounded by our currect squad and with Serg to feed into. I wouldn't mind Dzeko still being here either to be fair.

He got stuck in he never pussied about, never shoved off the ball, a bit of fight doesnt kill anyone, never got many injuries did tevez, sterling could be like him but obviously he needs to strengthen up, A LOT.
 
Someone beat me to it with Gareth Barry.

We never had these massive gaping holes in the centre of mid when he was in the side. His positional play was brilliant, combined with intelligent passing made him ideal for our side.

No surprise he was man of the match tonight. Every big derby/match you knew he would perform.

Yaya's legs are part of the problem now But this has been an issue since the 2013/14 season which coincided with Barry moving on. The Czech team ripped us apart at home centrally as did Hull when aluko missed chance after chance.
