Yeah mate it was the same time, maybe slightly earlier by a year or so. But probably the same bar (although there were a few).

I don’t think there’s an episode I didn’t like really, maybe Royal Flush, that was abit of a shit show. I remember reading that Sullivan edited it heavily but it still isn’t that watchable.
Although the scene where Del turns up with his gun and does the shooting is pretty funny.

The problem with that episode was that Del's antics made him look uncouth, boorish, thick and ignorant, he ceased to be lovable and also uncaring to Rodney's wishes.

just a mess of a filming and production for various reasons, everyone has a stinker.

Yeh the writing for Del on that episode was ill judged, no matter of editing could really help.
One another that gets bad press but i actually thought was pretty amusing, Miami Twice. I mean it’s pretty ridiculous but as a special show I thought it was watchable.

As a general rule, any episodes shot on film and without audience/canned laughter were all pretty crap. Miami twice, Royal flush and To Hull and back.
