Which player will improve the most this season?

Foden. He will get more playing time and more than likely start in the fa and league cups. Being around the players he is now, he will continue to get better and pep will keep him grounded and trust him playing in the league.

He will be in an England squad by the end of the season, if he continues his progression like he is now.

That's the ridiculous thing, looking through the squad everyone should be improving pretty much, on an individual level. I think maybe only Fernandinho, Kompany, Otamendi & Silva could say they've got no reason to be better because of their age and experience.

The rest fall into 3 categories for me -

1) Heading into a second season in the league and/or team, so should feel more at home, understand the team better, know what Pep wants etc.

2) Be getting used to a new position or role and getting better at it - KDB, Delph, even Walker. They've now had 1 year under Pep in their current roles and should be very comfortable there now.

3) Still very young and should be improving because of experience.

The biggest improvement has to come from Mendy!

If Bernardo is given more of a central role because of the arrival of Mahrez, then he will tear it up IMO.

A John Stones who continues to grow in confidence could be truly outstanding.
 
Has there ever been a squad at any level of football who were already this good but still had the room for improvement that we are all expecting,it's frightening.
 
We have so many good young players who are extremely talented but are not yet the finished article. Players like Sane, Jesus, Stones, Foden and Sterling come to mind but the two guys I am expecting to have a break out year this year are Laporte and Bernardo. Both are exceptional talents who look like they are on the brink of greatness.
 
Gabby, Gundo, Foden, Diaz, Laporte, Mahrez (although that might take a couple of season before he is fully on board)
 
Bernardo Silva, started to show his true potential, at times it looks like the ball is glued to his feet.
 
Saying he'll improve is a stretch since he didn't even play, but I'm so excited for Mendy this season. Delph did a great job last year but Mendy could seriously raise our attack to a new level.
