Which player will improve the most this season?

Surprised more people don't say walker. Think his game can't just be based on his speed to recover his mistakes and brain farts. Needs to concentrate totally all 90+ mins in a game.

I think this will be the season of the successors. Stones will step up and show he's a leader and the natural successor to Vinny and Bernardo will show he is the successor to Dave.

He's already playing at a very high standard. The likes of, for instance, Laporte have more room for improvement. It'd be easier for him to improve by 25% than for Walker to do so.

Yes; it did. Under a different coach. I trust in Pep to get the best out of Mahrez in the shortest reasonable time. But I'm not going to argue all night with you on the subject. We'll agree to differ.

No worries

I've a feeling it's going to be Aguero he looks determined and fit. I'm hoping Sane and Sterling kick on as well

Good one.
Love the guy for his attitude and effort but his brain farts drive me mad.....

As strange as it sounds - Aguero.
He’s already a legend and world class player but he’s now got his knee sorted and he seems to be gelling with the Guardiola system.
Big prediction but I think he’ll beat Salah’s record this season.

I see this also. Free of pain and all questions about other clubs/Peps views etc will be put to bed. He looked very sharp and hungry at Wembley. Just hope he remembers to pass at times....

Every one of them will improve this season - I'd expect the trajectory of improvement to be greatest in Foden, Bernardo, Mendy and Stones and if they do, I just can't see how we're not going to win the league

I would like Delph to get the most from Peps instruction, but the whole team needs to raise the bar again to beat off any rivals. They have been together sometime and under Peps tutiledge for two years time to let them off the leash again and really take the prem league by storm. F'ck Scudamore.

Interesting thinking about this, and comparing it to our previous title winning teams.

Probably only De Bruyne, Ederson and Walker are a significant level above their back-ups or offer something no-one else can. The rest all have to keep on their toes, keep improving and keep motivated to stay in the team.

Before we always had an undisputed core of key players who could never be dropped.

Much more strength in depth now than we have ever had.

Whilst I agree with what you say about those 3, I think Fernandino is the player significantly above any back up we have right now in his position. Pep has said he will try Stones there and I think he may feel Stones may eventually become the next Busquets, but at this moment in time Fernandino is a key player who has proved himself beyond any doubt.

Lots of room for improvement for many players - a scary prospect considering the 19-point gap to 2nd last season. Stones, Laporte, Mendy (well he counts almost as a new signing, rather than someone looking to improve), Gündogan, Bernardo, Sané, Sterling, Jesus - even Aguero can and will probably do better.

If KdB can stay consistent he'll be an absolute monster. The good thing is he doesn't have to and City will still do well - less pressure should be condusive to his continuing development.
