Which players in our current squad would get in the 11/12 team?

And we had far more players in their prime then too.

Who's in their prime now? de Bruyne, Gundogan, Nolito, Fernando, Otamendi and Kun in the entire squad are 25-29. Anyone else?

I think the 25-29 age bracket should make up the majority and then there should be a similar amount of 20-24 and 30-34 with the odd youth teamers to compete the squad.

In 2012 Hart Clichy Lescott Kompany Kolarov Zabaleta de Jong Barry Silva Milner Nasri Yaya Tevez Džeko were all 25-29

Dinho and KDB. Quite sad that we've spent 150m ish on centre backs since then and still haven't managed to find a better one than Lescott. Having said that, we aren't defensively organised whatsoever so it is difficult to judge.
 
How the fuck have we gone from having tevez, aguero, dzeko and mario to having just kelechi today??, Sergio banned obviously but you get my point, only kdb and Fernandinho would get anywhere near 11/12 team

Well yeah, but that's the eternal dilemma of football. Getting one right inevitably takes away from the other. Pep's usually been pretty good at getting them both right, but at the moment, not so much. I hate to keep coming back to it, but every time we've played 3 at the back, we've looked fucking dog shit. I don't know why he keeps persisting with it, unless he's willing to take some uncertainty this season in the hope that it will pay off next season (or ideally, later this season).
 
Sterling when on form would be a contender to replace Nasri (or Johnson as an impact player).

It is scary when you look at it. At least United have wasted more than us.
 
Scouting and support has been woeful.

I wonder of the new players bought in this year how many will be at the club in two years time?
