Which players will improve us most!

Why do so many people think buying all these foreign players is the answer????

TOTTENHAM bought Modric,pavelychencko,Zakorra,Kabul (whose already been sold) etc ALL players that the same posters on here would have desribed as 'Awesome' 'quality' 'class' "we should snap him up" "why don't we go for" etc.

ASTON VILLA bought luke young (a RB playing LB), Reo-Coker (a MF playing RB), Sidwell (worse at Chelsea than Parker!) Milner and Knight (nothing players at previous clubs),Carew (a lumbering european journeyman) and Curtis Davis (a sick note from the championship at the time)


ONE of the above clubs is in the bottom 3 .......ONE is sitting nicely in the top 4 ???????


I'm not saying i would like Parker /Bellamy etc .......but rather the Manager may have more idea than the FM08 know-it-alls on here?

We've been linked to Lescott but apparently Everton want £15m. I think the purchase of a good left footed centre back is what is needed. I'd go up to £15m but no more. He's 26, scores goals, seems pretty solid and will bring much needed competition at the back. He can play left back if required.

We've also been linked with Parker. We do need another body or two in midfield and whilst he isn't going to set the world alight, he will get stuck in and do the simple stuff effectively. Again, he would bring much needed competition to the squad.

We've also been linked with Cudicini and Given. I'd take either one if the price wasn't too much. Again, more competition for places and much needed experience. The only problem there is that we must keep Hart happy and encouraged, he is the future.

The above would be a start. We also need a big strong target man up front...I have no views in that respect!

On the other side, we do need to get rid of some of the deadwood.
