Not used much these days. Your average kidnapper has moved onto plastic ties. It's a pity really because a good quality kidnapper would have always studied rope work as part of his 101. It was an art form.

That explains it....everywhere I go people seem to look befuddled staring at their phones with their thumbs stuck to it....Here's me thinking it was just everyone turning into an ignorant, anti-social ,jelly-brained knob-end when all along they had been kidnapped. I feel such a twot now.
