Which pub do we have at Huddersfield?

Went in some working mens club next to the ground last time I went,Peter Berdsley was playing for us won 3-1.
Blimey , that must have been a few years ago !

I recall going up to watch City at Newcastle in the early 80s when they had Keegan, Beardsley, Terry McDermott and Waddle in their team, and we hardly had a star name amongst our entire eleven.....needless to say we hardly got a kick, and they gave us right gooosing 5-0 !

Now that I come to think about it we might have touched the ball just the once, i think we scored an own goal!

Wasn't a good day, we got back to the coaches and some Geordie yobs had put the coach windows through! F'kin freezing it was too!

I remember the cow shed end at Leeds Road
Mooooo!!
Are you sure it wasn't Leeds United ? I think they had a cowshed or a scratching shed end back in the 60s and 70s ? It was a horrible place to go.

Looks like both Leeds and Huddersfield had them.

Huddersfield had the cowshed, Leeds the scratching shed. The Cowshed at Huddersfield the first members only home stand in the country. The Scratching She'd at Leeds was a small covered terrace which predated the south stand. Only in it once 3 0 league defeat in the early 70s only good thing got back in one piece.

My first “real” away game that went on Finglands fucking freezing spent an hour dodging a good kicking outside the ground

Was a Gorton lad went with some good lads from Denton Gorton and Reddish DGR

Recall us running out in the new white continental (Allisons description) sash shirts

DGR spent most of the match homing a classic song based on Chuck Berry’s My Ding A Ling in homage to Colin at the back of the Cowshed

After the game we walked to the coaches which in those days for some ridiculous reason parked on a road behind Leeds Kop had to walk through the middle of them streaming out of the ground

Your right 3-0
