I had a few mates who lived on Shover. Do your remember the chippy at Moorside (I think it was called Kens) with a pinball upstairs?

There was the chippy opposite the Petrol Station (now CO-OP), and one on Coleridge Rd. Don’t remember the Pinball

Sounds similar to Littlemoss where I went from 1969 to 1974. The majority of the teachers were a bunch of sadistic paedophiles.

We had a sports teacher called Sam Shepherd who could be a sadistic bastard , if you were on one of his teams then he'd often whisk you out of detention. I think he refereed a Rugby League cup final one time in the 70's
