Which Sense?

Nonsense. No seriously, think about it. I once had depression and people said i was talking alot of nonsense. Glad i came through it though as it's made me a better person.

Although that is fantastic mate im struggling to see what it means in this topic

Was thinking bout this other day as well when walking to work, what about hearing, you would never hear a song, a bird sing your new born childs first cry or their first word also if you farted you wouldn't know if it was silent or not

It would be sad to not hear your child cry but imagine not seeing it, would be heartbreaking.

It would break my heart if i could hear the ex-wife bitching but not be able to see where the racket came from.

Sight, without question, a few years ago I lost my sight in one eye for around 6 months due to a rapidly growing cataract (totally went in a matter of a couple of weeks), it may not sound much but even that totally f*cked me up so the thought of losing both would be awful.

Taste? So what if food may taste like shit? If you know things to be okay, then you eat them.

Smell? My sense of smell used to be very sharp, but it's been de-tuned after spending time with animals. Can still smell that my workplace is full of exhaust gases, though, despite my boss making noises to the contrary.

Hearing? I've always been surrounded by music, but if I lost my hearing, I still have enough music in my head to last for years. There are also ways to play instruments using vibrations.

Sight? Losing my sight would be a terrible blow, especially as my memory is very sight-related. However, sight is bound to deteriorate with time, and it might just happen quicker than I expect.

Touch would be the biggy, I think. My Mum has lost nearly all feeling in the soles of her feet, and she now has worries about walking unassisted. Blind and partially sighted people make up for their loss of vision by developing their sense of touch. If you couldn't see your loved ones, at least you could touch them.

it'd have to be sight for me, not being able to see my little lads smile would destroy me. Plus if you lost your hearing you can still learn sign language and have the people you love learn it too. There's no substitution for your sight though.

Given your wonderful 'Are Deaf People Nocturnal' thread,it would seem that your 'talking nonsense' gene is alive and well.
I would hate to lose the sense of smell.
Imagine not being able to smell your own farts?

I often talk nonsense, what's your problem, quite a few thought it was a valid question.

On the subject of sense, my dad lost his sense of taste and smell after suffering a head injury from a moterbike crash in the sixties. He had no smell whatsoever but he could distinguish the difference between sweet and bitter tasting food. He used to lace his food and drink wish salt and suger to get any kind from enjoyment from it.

I think sight is the most important sense to lose.
