Erm.... No. Which side of the bed do you sleep in as you lie in it. It doesn't matter if the door is on your left, right or your in a campbed in a field!

The 'nearest the door' stuff is interesting. I was nearest the door in our last place, but continued to sleep on the right side after we moved. Now she's nearest the door, hope she is ready to protect me if any intruders burst in ;)

Right. Just happens to be nearest to the door, toilet, fridge, wallet and escape vehicle. For some reason, I allways end up on the opposite side when on holiday.
