Please recommend songs I should download (no rap; no heavy metal). I am sick of the shit on my ipod. Which five songs would you fetch with you to the proverbial desert island?

This is very personal

Freebird - Lynyard Skynard
May you never - John Martyn
The man who - The Script
Chasing Pavements - Adele
Pounding - Doves

Clare de Lune, to remind me of my wedding and why I came to the desert island in the first place.
That's what I'm using on my hypothetical killing spree. Please let me know if you need your desert island ridding of unwanteds.

Great choice. Strings or just solo piano, a la Satie?

Piano, à la Debussy.

The back catalogue of stock aitken waterman. At least you'll kill yourself before dying of thirst.

Good work. We never spoke about specific weapons in that thread. I suppose a chainsaw would somewhat spoil the Debussy.

Invest in a nailgun.

Ninja powers and a bit of out-staring. Oh, and the background sound will be off in the filmed version, so all you'll hear is the Debussy. You'll be able to sip your drink of choice in complete contentment while I go amok. (Note to self and to all who may be reading - I don't really do this killing thing. This is just my alter-ego typing on an internet forum.)

The story of the blues - By the Wah band . Top tune and always reminds me of Manchester City . In fact City played that song for are youth team lads at the Manchester derby in 2010 at half time .

Skylar Gray ft. Eminem - Love the Way you Lie

Sia - My Love

Within Temptation - All I need

Claude Debussy: Clair De Lune

Owl City - Fireflies.

The Key - Senser
Inner Sanctum - Delerium
Two Tribes - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Would? - Alice In Chains
I Know - Hybrid

Over the hills and far away ... Led Zeppelin
Black magic woman......Santana
Another brick in the wall pt 1......Floyd
Give a little bit.....Supertramp
I know what i like ( in your wardrobe )...Genesis
First 5 random tracks to come up on my mp3 player and to be fair thats a cracking selection , Not a job by Elbow and Up around the bend by Creedance came next if you want a couple of subs on the bench
