United are the uncle knobhead you detest due to his arrogance and constant put downs about you when you weren’t at your best driving round in a new BMW flashing his Rolex and now are even more arrogant and bitter as you have surpassed them and he’s now driving round in a Ford behind you in your BMW asking for the time on your Rolex.

The whole country hates United, there's many many excellent reasons to but they at least can claim some of that hatred is based on envy and jealousy of their achievements in the last 30 years with some merit.

The whole country also hates Liverpool, yet Liverpool themselves have achieved nothing in the same time to be able to connect it to that. You'd have to be not far from approaching 50 to remember any domestic scouse success meaning there's 2/3 generations that detest Liverpool and you can't legitimately attribute envy or jealousy to why that is.

That has to be telling. They're an entirely different breed.

Whichever team we are playing is who I hate the most - actually its fans of the clubs we are playing. Usually the clubs that got promoted after years of having attendances of about 8k are the worst. Oblivious to irony.
