Firstly, I'm in work and laughed out loud at that....priceless.

Secondly, I don't really understand what real difference a touchline ban will make to him, or for that matter any other manager. He'll just get his message down to Phelan and he'll shout at everyone.

Totally agree mate. In fact some managers, that useless fat cnut Alladyce for eaxample, choose to watch half the game from the stands anyway. Although in Alladyce's case I think it was so he could be closer to the pie kiosk rather than for any tactical reasons.
