I'll toast whisky day with some cask strength Bruichladdich (61.7%). A mate is in a consortium that bought a cask about 12 years ago and they had it bottled late last year. I ended up with 3 bottles, and it's very interesting stuff, you might say challenging, needs a lot of water.

I was given a gift pack of Bruichladdich about 10 years ago. And the wife downed them, one evening while I wasn’t about. Just started to cry now you’ve reminded me of that! Enjoy your bottle 8-)

I’m more into beer but I always love a fine Tulamore Dew.

If you guys know any whiskey with a similar taste, I’ll be great full for your recommendations.

On the coast Aberystwyth.
I bought my first large motorbike from Newtown back in the late 80s. Was a lovely Honda NS400R in rothmans colours! Had some fun on that.

Auchentoshan 3 wood. Have made many try it, and haven't found a dissenting voice yet.

Nice smooth drink, I sometimes buy it when on offer at Tesco, but haven’t seen it lately.

Isn't Monkey Shoulder blended?

It's nice though. Love a Hakushu. Same goes for the Welsh one, Penderyn. Very clear.
