Who’s gone in the summer?

It’s just utterly surreal that we are having this discussion.

This club that I have supported for close to 50 years now is in a position where we are even saying that a current Brazil international could potentially be so far down the pecking order that he would move to get game time, that Sterling might leave (a current England international and one of the country best players) and not be a huge loss, that a player of Mahrez’s quality might be replaceable.

It’s just a million steps removed from all but the last few years experiences looking at players at gods own club - just wow, how things have changed.

We can still debate wether Messi or Ronaldo would have scored more for us.. lol Fucking MENTAL.

Sound reasoning @BillyShears. Players leaving on a free seems to be the norm. Hopefully city can read the situation and try to move both players on to recoup a fee. On Jesus, it would be a loss to the club. He never moans, seems happy enough with his role in the squad. He is still relatively young and can be relieved upon.

The club normally plan in 3/5 year cycles. It would be normal for us to shuffle the decks this summer.

Glad you back posting mate.
Not sure Jesus would want to be relieved upon , unless he is into that sort of thing !!

Mahrez and Sterling will probably leave on a free (or both re-sign at the end of this season). Find it highly unlikely either is sold this summer as both will be aware of their value 12 months later when they'll be out of contract.

Jesus on the other hand will find himself even further down the pecking order and will IMO almost certainly want to move and go and play football.
And we’ve also got Palmer and McAtee knocking on the door to the first team.

Utterly derisory: how will we ever win the Net Spend Trophy with this attitude?
