Who’s gone in the summer?

I've always liked Tyrick Mitchell. He's contributed to 2 clean sheets against us this season and his is definitely a star on the rise. Very quick, a good defender, never injured and only 22.
Good shout! Really liked him. Almost like Wan Bissaka, in that he's very composed and tackles cleanly and intelligently.

I'd really hope we've scouted his game well enough for Pep to work with. Palace will make it costly and hopefully he can at least perform to Walker-esque level of technical and tactical capability.

Is that supposed to be a compliment?

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is the physical embodiment of the old Paolo Maldini quote - "If I have to make a tackle I've already made a mistake". People got so fixated on some eye catching slide tackles they never thought about how he was getting so far out of position that he was having to make them.

As soon as he left Hodgson's 2 banks of 4 defending their own box, he's been shown to have zero concentration, positional discipline, awareness or ability to learn those skills.

Why not? Tackling is a good thing, surely. Especially when my comparison of him to Wan Bissaka is based on that trait.

As far as Was Bissaka's travails at United go, I agree with your assessment. But it's got zilch to do with what I've posted on Mitchell; wherein I've highlighted my hope that our scouting of Mitchell sees some tactical and technical qualities that are at least to the level of Walker's.

Believe you might have misread something there.

I wouldn't want them to go but I think Laporte and Bernardo will leave. Bernardo wanted to go last season and his attitude this year has been incredible. However, if he wants to live where it's warm then we should grant him his wish. He has been a superb servant for the club.

Fernandinho will leave obviously and I have a feeling there may be another surprise. I'd not be too surprised to see Sterling go. He's just too inconsistent for me. His movement is world class but he has no football brain at all. I also think Jesus will go as well, although I'd rather he stayed.

Potentially that could be Laporte (£60m), Bernardo (£60m), Sterling (£60m), Jesus (£40m) leaving. I would imagine we've still got the Kane £100m to spend as well so we should have a decent transfer budget - £300m or so.

I don't think anyone wants him to leave but the if the player wants to go, he will.
Think signing Haaland would be a big plus in wanting players to stay, maybe force Jesus out but for some it’s an incentive to stay and be part of a transition to how Pep sets up. Almost like a new era.
