Who’s gone in the summer?

My view has always been that we should always be happy to see players who are not fully committed to the club leave it. Equally, players who feel that they do not have the commitment of the club or management should be asking for a move.

Personally, I would like to see Palmer given more of a role and that, with the arrival of Alvarez, should see the loss of Sterling or Mahrez. I suspect that Gabby will choose to leave because he feels he should have more of a key role. If Haaland arrives, I will be pleased to see McAtee given the responsibility of taking up a bigger role in the attacking lineup. I think that Delap probably needs a loan.

Mendy will leave and we will need another fullback as three is not enough.

No I didn’t and my post is for those who understand the difference between would and could. The point is if the squad is being refreshed anyone bar a couple COULD go if the price is met. Jesus ..
Wasn't your post the post I quoted was talking about.

we have a big reshuffle coming in the front line with Alvarez and Haaland, playing time would be impossible to share if no one leaves.

Haaland will expect to play majority of games when fit, same as Dias, KDB, Walker etc.

change of style is needed too, no more false 9, we need to be more direct with Haaland a bit. and probably speed up our attack building rather than slow it down.

for this we need more pace, would not mind a quick DM to help to rotate Rodri as Fernandinho already not fit to do that and is about to leave anyway.

also a quick fullback replacing Mendy. someone like Walker on the left.

McAtee end Delap will play exact same limited role imo if they stay, about 150 minutes they will get from Pep during whole season, mostly Carabao early rounds. dont think Pep rates them that highly.
Palmer is the one imo who can cut it but also he will have a limited role and lot to improve.he has that kind of engine in him that Pep really likes in the players.

getting the best out of Grealish is also a big challenge, I dont want him to play more and waste more game time if that is in the front three without the goals and assists.

while Pep aint really interested in using him in the midfield trio and rightly so as he is levels below Bernardo and KDB.

I expect at least one of our forwards/wingers to leave and possibly Laporte and Zinchenko.

Pau Torres would be the logical replacement if Laporte were to leave.

I know what you mean, but i think it's more a case of he's better there than our alternatives, personally I would love a new LB in the summer, but I do get your point.

If we can get at least 1 or 2 more seasons out of Walker that will do me
It's unnecessary, Cancelo is perfect at lb and the best in the world there so why should he play on the right side? He has a good place there on the left!
