Who’s gone in the summer?

Disagree massively, he, like the last time KDB was out, was essential to keeping us balanced, December onwards he was brilliant and if you’re looking at anyone in this squad who provides the much needed energy for Peps system, you’re hard pressed to find better...

If he wants out, fine, however. I’d be fighting tooth and nail to retain, exceptional player and another who is marginalised against our perceived stars.... been a great servant and under appreciated by far to many!

Absolutely, the energy he gives our team is second to none and he is brilliant.
I just don`t understand why some people don`t see it.

Disagree with what?

I literally said I understand his role for Pep but for any other club looking at him they don't play the same way we do and will want a lot more goals and assists from him. Atletico will love his work rate but still, they will need more from him.

I dont think he is under appreciated at all, people just understand he wants to leave and having bought Grealish we have got another very good player. He has apparently wanted to leave now for 2 years, you don't keep him someone who doesn't want to be here.

When KDB is not playing Bernardo comes into his own, he is a high class player.

Once gone, people we quickly realise just how good he was, in Spain I personally think he will be sensational.

Bernardo is in my eyes worth 65/70 at least. Like some of the above boys have said he is a fantastic player and maybe some will only appreciate how good he is if he leaves which I really hope he doesn’t. If say Ben white is 50 million then there’s no way we should be accepting that for Bernardo. If the clubs that are interested can’t pay then he will have to suck it up and stay. Why should city have their pants pulled by the likes of Madrid or any other club that wants him. Same for Laporte.

It's not concerning at all.

If we aren't offered the correct fee, he stays and we retain a Wonderfully gifted footballer. Bernie will get his head down and work hard if a move doesn't happen- he knows the deal. If we receive a suitable offer he can go and if not he stays.
If we keep the current squad as it is today this is fine but otherwise if for example we sign Kane, someone needs to leave.

If we find £150m somewhere in the garage we could just leave out Carson of CL squad, in theory.
A potential solution should we sign Kane and keep current players, agreed.

Although we will have a lot of players playing for similar positions and some will remain unhappy and others that may become disgruntled. Thankfully I’m not the Manager so it is not my problem. However, I am reserving the right as a fan to have a moan if Guardiola gets it wrong.

It's worth remembering that Spanish and Italian clubs might start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel by January and start throwing some cash around.

Don’t Spanish clubs gets a chunk of cash from this new La liga deal. Except Barca and Madrid who haven’t signed up to it.

Tammy Abraham is moving to Roma for 34 million pounds. So we should not be selling any of our players on the cheap!

Lukaku completely bankrolled from selling Abraham, Guehi, Tomori, Moses, 4 guys who Tuchel was planning to give no chance or playing time. pretty good business.

they still in for Kounde from Sevilla who was also linked to us before we got Dias last summer and imo very highly rated young CB, good on the ball too.

well the offers for Bernardo are just not coming yet, still think it will some rubbish loan deal late in the window that he and his agent will push us to accept imo. for a loan only deal I would not let him ago. neither for anything less than 50m pounds, not euros. he is a great, versatile player with his best years yet to come.

Yep, they sell a hell of a lot better than us. If Abraham was ours, we’d be getting £10mil for him

I fear what’s to come in this transfer window as levy will not budge on Kane and we make make the mother of all fuck ups by not signing a striker

Khaldoon promised us “creative deals”. Dumping huge loads of cash isn’t creative, it’s old business. It may be necessary, but we can do better. For instance, what I said in another thread: Atletico Madrid wants to offload Saúl Ñiguez and Bernardo wants to leave for Spain. We could REALLY use Saúl. This is a “creative deal” waiting to happen, some sort of swap deal with cash involved. There’s still time, Txiki...

Common sense on a transfer forum thread. Am I hallucinating?

You're absolutely right. There's been nothing 'creative' about any of our incoming transfer deals. Do you think he may have been talking about some other area of creative accounting...?

;-)

Or maybe he knew a couple of players may want to go and thought something could be done with that in the Kane transfer? Who knows. I love how nobodies think they can run the club better though. Get the cv in lads

God forbid we offer some criticism of the way some business has been conducted!!

Should be an interesting week for Bernardo and Laporte. Do we allow them to go to Spain on tick, or do we look to swop them for other players? Maybe, they’ll both end up staying but I doubt it.
