Who are the scouts ?

It has been reported over in Spain that when Txiki arrived at our club he was in the process of re-opening his contacts within South America and Europe.

I think we will see this summer a statement of the work that has been carried out since before Christmas in terms of who will be arriving at our club. I believe that deals for certain players are already in place but cannot for obvious reasons be announced until the respective league seasons finish.

6 world class stars and the rest of the squad will be very good squad players, that's the Barca way.

Do we currently have 6 world class stars in the squad or academy? If not there will be a few players moving on & some new ones coming in.... It won't all happen this summer though.

Newcastles chief scout used to be with us. He's found a few good uns for them.

Carr was chief scout at City for 7 years. He was watching Papiss Cisse for City when he was at Metz but City couldn't get him because of issues with his passport.

The difference at Newcastle is that they are trying to unearth diamonds. Their club has different priorities. In the last 2-3 years we weren't going to gamble on up and coming talent from the European Leagues, we wanted proven players like Dzeko, Tevez, Aguero etc.

There'll be a change of emphasis again
