Because we are a professional football club and one of the biggest clubs in the world. It’s football. No need for some two bob comedian making posh quips to our players as they walk in.
What’s the point. If that was Liverpool/United/Barcelona/Madrid we would be taking the piss out of them.

Each to their own I guess as most of the comments are positive towards it so I guess i am in the minority. To me it’s all a bit staged all a bit false.

99.9% of the club’s social media output is for clicks and interactions.

This is no different. It was a bit of fun and exposes our club to his followers too.

Two of my friends who have little or no interest in football have sent me links to it saying how great it is tgat our club seems to be linking with the fans and how funny it is!

Plus, apart from a couple on here I’ve heard no negativity. Folk seem to find it funny and makes us a more ‘human’ club as my friend told me when I asked.

It’s just a bit of fun. Life’s for living and laughing for goodness sake.

Comedy is subjective. It’s a shame you didn’t like it, but as Eccles suggested, it has had a positive impact overall.

It’s far better than one player asking another what their favourite colour is or who has the nicest hair.

Same goes for all of us really. The club don’t care about any of us individually.

I knew about this guy beforehand, so knew what to expect when pressing play, whereas I guess you hadn’t and it seemed odd.

There hasn’t really been any negative comments from other clubs’ fans either, which is rare.

Hoping for Frankie Boyle or Jimmy Carr to be the returning greeter.

Thank you so much guys I will save the instructions. I’ve actually found out now…to my shame…that the photo was of Stefan Ortega! My friend sat next to him at Düsseldorf airport recently and, not being a football fan, no idea where I get these friends from, had no idea who he was but because a couple of giggling girls asked him for a selfie she guessed he was a footballer!
