Well Littleborough being on the outskirts of Rochdale you might just squeeze in as a Northerner!!! ;-)

It's borderline i'll give you that!

I thought you were French and you shared a speech writer with Samir Nasri?
Funnily enough I thought you shared a speechwriter with Forrest Gump.

Not any more. Forrest's speech writer has James Milner's agent working for him now so I can't afford the fees.

I loved your Ian Wright post but I thought it should have been in the agenda thread!

IIRC Yaya was the only one defending him in the dressing room. I think Zab may have had an issue, but wasn't fully on Mancini's side like Yaya.

The rest wanted him out to varying degrees. The English contingent were rumoured to be celebrating the FA Cup loss to Wigan just to get rid of him. His personality doesn't appear to be compatible with players or management. Look at the number of times we had to call in Khaldoon to referee disputes between the executives and Mancini. If a manager wants to use power plays to circumvent the executives, he had better keep winning. So it wasn't just the players with whom he had issues.

It's a shame because I do believe he bleeds blue and would come back if asked. I like his devotion to us but he would have to evolve as a manager before managing another ambitious club.

Mancini was largly sacked because of the poisonous dressing room that was created due to his man management style. But who was it that really wanted Mancini gone? Aguero has come out recently and said very complimentary things about Mancini and how he really improved his game. Likewise Mancini is actively pursuing yaya now which indicates he believes he'd want to play under him again. So who was it? Hart, kompany, silva?

Be interesting to know which players wanted him gone and also see if there is a comparison with their recent form. Ie if it was Hart that wanted him gone then was it simply because Mancini didn't value him? Just wondered if it was ever actually known which players turned against him?

Mancini made an enemy of Vinny in his last season in charge. That pretty much signed sealed and delivered his sacking.

ironically he was a better player under Bobbie

Far better.

We didn't have a director of football the summer that Mancini won the title. In fact we didn't even have a CEO as Ferran wasn't appointed until 1st September.

Think you will find Marwood took Cook's job after he stabbed him in the back forwarding private Emails to Onuoha's Mam..
You really are either completely clueless or a very poor wum. John Macbeath took Cook's job, as interim CEO and is still at the club.

The email was forwarded from Cook's account, when he replied to one from Mrs Onuoha that Marwood had forwarded. The one who did the stabbing in the back was Ian Wright, who sat on that email for a year, releasing it only when we wouldn't renew SWP's contract.

Wright shamelessly used the Onuoha's to pursue his own agenda against Cook.

Hahahaha....

Problem with that? I know what happened as I got unwittingly involved in that whole thing & heard the full story from someone who was close to it. They'd posted something on here about it, which I thought wasn't wise, and I got Ric to take the thread down as I wasn't a mod in those days. The thread is still in the Mod Forum.

I contacted the person to tell them they shouldn't have posted it on here as anyone could see it and they told me the full story. On hearing it I thought that someone at the club would be interested in talking to them so passed on the contact details of someone senior at the club. The person got in touch & subsequently told me the club were very grateful as there was information that proved useful to them.

The original email was actually sent in October 2010 (which was never really made clear in the media) but the story broke in The Sun in September 2011. If you're that offended and upset, you don't sit on it for nearly a year.

Here's the quote from The Sun's report which proves what I said about the dates:
In October last year she e-mailed Marwood explaining that, while her body might be "ravaged with cancer and ongoing chemotherapy" she still had her wits about her to argue Nedum's case.

Two weeks later Dr Anthonia received an e-mail — which appeared to be from Cook and was meant for Marwood — but was instead sent to her.

The more pertinent question would be who didn't Mancini piss off. Can't help but love him though, if only for fulfilling his promise of ripping that banner down. Clearly had to go mind you. His approach was just what we needed at the time, but was never sustainable.
