We beat everyone we should, probably with the exception of the USA
Hands off!Can you imagine what Pep would achieve as England coach ?
Couldn’t agree more - absolutely spot on.This is the problem, we don't beat top ranked teams, we beat the teams that we should be beating.
Apart from City winning stuff I would love nothing better than a successful winning England team, but we're miles away.
I don't know what the answer is in respect of the manager, but it isnt Southgate.
He's far too cautious and he won't change, to play both Rice and Henderson is criminal, they havnt got an attacking bone in their body, combined they don't get even close to what Rodri does for City on his own, they don't show for the ball and instinctively pass backwards putting an already shaky defence under pressure.
Keeping Phil hugging the touchline and giving him no service is a waste of his talent, he should've been playing the same role as Greizman did for France, roaming around picking passes being creative and finding gaps, so much better when he comes inside.
We have some fantastic young forwards but we fail them, our game plan yesterday was to nullify Mpappe which Kyle did well, but because our two defensive midfielders are bobbins they had a field day.
Kane thinks he can play the 9 and 10 role combined runs himself into the ground, and then when he needs that burst he can't coz he's goosed.
We have the makings of a good team but we're managed by a dull, negative manager who won't change, it's a shame.
The problem Foden has is with City when he receives the ball he has options, players who want the ball, players moving, players creating angles and players coming towards him ….with England he has stationary players who don’t want the ball and won’t create angles or players running away from him with their backs turned - he basically has no one to play football with who have anywhere near a City level of skill, confidence, ability or intelligence. Bellingham has potential but he needs a year of Pep before he would even begin to understand how you should play the beautiful game. We as City fans are blessed. This is the problem, we don't beat top ranked teams, we beat the teams that we should be beating.

True but we don’t and that’s why they’re coming home rather than it’s coming homeYou can only beat whats in front of you
Coming into the Tournament I was anti-Southgate and I still think there's much room for improvement in his management. But this Tournament was easily the best football played under him, we just outplayed France, granted was weird approach vs USA and battered everyone else. He dropped Mount to the bench, that's evidential progress from him. The man deserves another crack at the Euros.
Same old story, he's fuckin clueless.France aren’t even that good and have had injuries to major players. This was the opportunity, Morocco in the semis then a final. Southgate blew it.
