Spot on here, I'd love Liverpool to win it to have 19 titles just when the rats get to 18. otherwise Arsenal. But I'm going to plump for a wild card, seeing as the whole world loves Moyes who is the best English manager of all time aparently and is slowly building a side to challenge then it has to be everton by the law of diminishing returns.............................................esp if they get JO.

1. Dippers
2. Gooners
3. Gods own club [er....us]
4. Everton

and the rest don't matter

we are the masters of the title this year, we have a little way to go to win it ourselves but we can choose who does.
we are going to beat all of the top 4 at some point this season, maybe even home and away. i say hughes should play weakened teams against chelsea and the dippers whilst playing our strongest againt the arse and the scum.in other words i'd take 4th right now if chelsea and the dippers finish above the scum and we finish above arsenal. ok, we go for 3rd too but i would settle for this.

its up to us, no one else can make this sort of impact on the prem this year.

Bollocks. How about trying to win every game and see where we end up? Frankly I think fielding a weakened team at any point next season would be stupid. No european commitments, stronger squad, we will have the potential to take points off any of the top four on our day.

We can't pick and choose which opponents we'll have a good day against. Suggesting that we risk dropping points just to spite other teams only serves to enhance the reputation we have with other fans as bitter.

The simple answer; I still think Arsene Wenger has another great side left in him. If we cant do it next year then I would like it to be them.

I also seriously think that any of the "Sky four" could implode at any time and have posted as such on other occasions. Lets look at the evidence.

The Rags

Taggert on the verge of Retirement
Chuckle, one eyed Ginger,Current Footballer of the Year all should be on the Golf Course by now.
A Keeper who is past it and an ageing Drug cheat at the heart of the Defence
The loss of Trev and Tranny who scored well over a hundred goals in the past two seasons
The best DM in Europe facing a career threatening injury
A poor Youth set up
Massive Financial debt
Following on from the Chineese " Art of War " thread dont be suprised if Spursmad says any minute now we have sounded out " Grannyshagger" for next Summer.

The Dippers

A total reliance on three players. Two of whom are not getting any Younger. Gerrard and Carragher.
Torres ( see " Grannyshagger" above )
Ownership issues.
Benitez. As a Manager tactically poor. All these years in the Prem and still hasn,t worked out how to beat the poor sides.

Arsenal

Cant compete with the others Financially.
Possibly could lose key players in the Transfer Window
Lack of team spirit
The Manager could conceivably be in his last season. Manager of Real Madrid/Globetrotters or France after the World Cup

Chelski

The Sheiks have taken Roman's trump card
A great starting Eleven but with very little squad strength to back them up ( Kalou, Mancienne, Daniel etc)
Chief Badge Kisser " Fat Frank" not getting any younger
Badge kisser number two possibly moving North
An Ageing side similar to the Rags
A new Manager

Possibly two sides could drop out of this cosy little Cartel. If we can get our Targets in, hit the ground running, beat the Rubbish on a consistent basis, keep the squad players happy and show no fear then we just might do it ourselves. I know it is a lot of " If's and buts" but I really think it could be on.

Our downfall last season was the awful away record. That and the plethora of dropped points against teams we should have hammered. This season that CANNOT be allowed to happen again - under no circumstances.

It all depends on who we sign, if we sign, Tevez, Eto Terry and Lescott, I would like to think that given we can further strenghten in January if need be, the fact no European games this season, max number of games on offer around the fifty mark I would say we have a good chance of winning the bloody thing (not saying we will), if we don't win it, sure as hell don't want the rags doing it again. Not really bothered whether Gooners, Chelski or scousers to be honest.

I agree, we might have a chance, if we can get the players we are after and the least amount of games over the season.
Maybe just maybe its on, with six world class players added and most of the top four alittle rundown, we might nick it.
This is the answer we all want.

i dont think we will win the prem this year but will have an impact on the results. i thin top4 for us and i would want liverpool to win to piss of ferguson, but aslong as we finish atleast top6 i want top4 more, and united dont win it im happy

Given

Richards Terry Lescott Bridge

Ireland Barry

SWp Tevez Etoo Robinho

With this team whoever finishes above us will win the PL.

I dislike the Big Four for very different reasons:

United - Local rivals, scummers.
Chelsea - Our biggest rivals in a monetarial sense, i guess.
Liverpool - Unbearable support, we'd never shut them up if they finally won the title.
Arsenal - Play good stuff sometimes but annoying, immature mongs, especialy Cesc, Gallas, others.

I wouldn't 'want' or 'like' anyone else to win the title bar us, but we're miles away. There are sides in the division that i wouldn't be offended to see win it, say Everton (good club, good manager, a few players i like, such as Jagielka, Arteta, Fellaini), Fulham or West Ham. They're probably the only clubs in the Premier League i don't really harbour any grudges against, but the likelyhood of any of them winning it is virtually zero.

To answer your question, hmmm, i think i just want to see someone break up that monopoly, but if it must be one of those four, then Arsenal, just.
