Who do you want as the next manager...

No thanks

Does well in a one horse race in Germany

Last time he was in the Premier League he showed no adaptability and decided to sleepwalk into relegation.
I don't think people realize the lack of resources any manager has at Burnley in comparison to the rest of the league.

The most telling thing about him is he never lost the dressing room. Even when they were doomed, those players still fought for him.

Luis Enrique. He's not leaving PSG so we go with Maresca. And that's fine. Maresca has a certain "pedigree", having coached at the academy and been assistant with Pep. My fear is that once Liverpool sacks Slot, they will entice Enrique to go there.

Resources or not, he still never tried to adjust tactics when it clearly couldn't work.

Let's be real, at least 75% of premier league managers now would walk the German league with Bayern and get fairly far in Europe. Doesn't mean we would employ them.

The jury is still out on Vinny in my opinion. He may well be a top manager or become one but he's in a situation now that would flatter almost any manager.

I don't think we need to take that chance straight away. I'd let him get more experience and then have a look.

Employing him right now stinks of rag behavior, a former player still essentially new to managing, albeit at a big club now in a one horse race league.

I'd give it a few more years.

Yeah, he would be my first choice but he's not a choice.

I'd like Klopp too but that is never happening, but I think our current set of players would do well with his more direct style.

Don't mind the Maresca appointment, I think he will do well. He had Chelsea far better than they are now. I think some of doubters among our fans might be surprised.

I'd take Emery too. I think he deserves a proper shot at managing real title contenders.

Maresca for now, worse case scenario we have him for one season until Enrique becomes available next Summer. Starting 2029, Kompany.

The noise when Vinny was on screen was telling. Whether it’s in a couple years or sooner he will be city’s manager.

Proper City fans want Kompany but we all know who it gonna be, let’s all ov us get behind him and go again
I'd be delighted if Kompany returned and led us to further glory but plenty of teams have struggled to achieve success on the pitch when they've appointed former successful players as managers. Leeds being a prime example.
The problem with VK is that he's won the Bundesliga in great style but at a club that has far greater resources than all others, and doesn't seem to suffer from investment limits at least in domestic competitions. He can spend all season experimenting to achieve CL progress and that just isn't going to be the case if he returned to City. - The good news is that he knows the Premier League.
The suggestion of Enzo Maresca has been greeted with as much "Meh" as Pellers was in 2013, but the Chilean won the PL and LC in his first season by playing some sensational football; Arsenal 6-3 at home and beating Spuds 6-0 and 5-1 for example. He was also the first manager to get us into the CL knock-out stages but some don't want to hear that as he wasn't a certain Italian.
I'll back whoever it is (within reason) but the main question is will the board back him financially, because many of our recent signings have been downgrades on previous players and no manager can be successful under those conditions.

Or even worse, them lot.

I don't think people realise how much of an idiot you would have to be to not win the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.

The current England manager failed to win it the season before last which always makes me chuckle.
