Who else do you want?

if we're talking cover for silva, then iniesta surely can't be considered. that's ridiculous. let's buy one of the world's top 5 players in case our creative midfielder gets injured. if assulin is all he's cracked up to be then i'd like to see silva take him under his wing and mould him into his natural successor.

I think your right about Assulin, he'll be the cover for Silva. David Luiz would be the only other player I'd like to see brought in.

With Adebayor & RSC on their way out, + Balotelli & his dodgy knee, I still think we need cover up front if Tevez or Dzeko are injured. I`d like to see Andy Carroll at City myself. Also agree with cover for Silva if needed.

Yes mate, that was my thinking another creative player, when paddy goes, to compliment our midfield battlers. Iniesta a bridge to far methinks! I was thinking more like krancjar.

Krancjar? Hopefully the days of us buying 28 year old rejects from clubs like Tottenham are long gone. He can go to West Ham, Fulham or Villa.

I would like us to sign Luiz.

And I think the owners still want a massive name (although this is getting more difficult because even the massive names now don't make the same impact on the club as when we tried to sign Kaka. No one is really surprised anymore when we are linked with world stars).

We do need more creativity for when Silva is injured (or even to play alongside him - the defence is strong enough now to cope!).

Hamsik would be my choice.

Mancini always said he needed 3 more players to complete the squad.

1. Dzeko, already signed
2. Luiz, Tolmie confirmed we're in for him this window
3. ? My guess would be a creative midfielder.

Depend greatly on who's going to leave in Jan...

If Ade and RSC go, I think we're Ok with Tevez, Jo, Balo and Dzeko, but if Jo was to go as well and Balo injury is longer than we are told, another striker.

If Bridge goes... do we need cover? We're probably OK with Lescott and Zaba covering Kolorov. Centre half's are fine, and as long as Richards hangs around until summer we're OK in defence.

If Given goes, we need another goalie.

I would like another creative mid, I guess SWP could go.

Krancjar is my choice! He's still a good premier league player, and would cover for silva when called upon. Hamsik would want to play, week in week out, where as krancjar would be happy to compliment the squad. The thought of buying 'world' class stars to sit on our bench is laughable. That is the recipe for disaster. Look at micah, he is a product of our youth policy and still did a piece in the sun about leaving if he doesn't play! Gai Assulin developing into his potential would be the perfect solution.

Don't think Hamsik can be classed as genuine 'world class' yet to be honest. The week in week out thing is a fair point, but you could say the same about Tevez, Mario and Dzeko - all three want to be playing every week. To strengthen our squad now the players have to be ridiculously good - there's no point buying them otherwise.

Plus I think Hamsik would force himself into the team most weeks - it's not like he or Silva are 'passenger' type players. Both put the work in as well as the fancy stuff. It gives us another option other than just Silva and three from Ya Ya, Barry, De Jong and Milner. When we want to be more attacking we can.

Silva, Hamsik, Ya Ya and De Jong would put the fear of God into just about any team.

Anyway, apart from knowing Mancini is a fan of Hamsik I don't think we have been seriously linked with him (yet ;-) so it's irrelvant.

I think there is zero chance of us even considering Krancjar to be honest.
