Who is a bluemoon forum original ?

Where I started off, about 1996 ? I used to sneak on there when at work, because going on the internet in those days at work, was very frowned on, in fact we were warned it could be sack able if not work related access.
My boss had a word with me about it, probably around 1998. I think they’d just got monitoring software or something. Luckily I was a successful sales person at the time, and my boss was a big Burnley fan who presumably went on their forum, so he basically laughed about it and said “be careful”.

Forums are pretty much a forgotten and undocumented thing, when the media focuses on social media, but lots of people have been talking on here, and plenty have become friends in real life, for 15-20 years.

i strongly suspect the age profile of users has gone up correspondingly though. On Blueview the majority seemed to be in their 20s. On here the majority seem to be well over 40.

I think the early days internet blue crowd (MCIVTA was the first I think, basically an email fanzine) are still the major contributors now, as you age you have better attention span, these youngsters are too keen on the likes of twitter and facebook.

Yeah, even back in the 90s it was only really the younger people who used the internet. We are that generation. The younger ones are doing YouTube videos and Tiktok or whatever else they use.
