Right lads last season after we signed de jong i was telling people how good he was and some idiot he didn't know what he was talking about was saying he is crap etc, etc.. anyway is that person going to grow a pair and admit they were wrong?? As i said lat year NDJ is class!

pat

Well, I'm happy for you, but there are LOTS of people that watch football outside of the Prem that know him and those that don't wouldn't really understand what NdJ is all about. I don't think I remember a huge kerfuffle over him, but hey, seek and destroy....

I said at the start of this eason that the jury was still out but I now must admit that he is a good player and deserves his place.
Still think he is better with 5 man midfield but had a great game in a 4 last night.

I'l admit to it , when a guy comes in for 19m and it to be fair distinctly average for his first six months you have to wonder, but he has been class recently and the more game he plays the harder it will be to take him out.

Was about 50:50 on here with people who thought he was class and those who were unconvinced. There aren't 8000 'told you so' threads.

Im not always thought he had it in him and he quitely went about his business last season.

The fact he was just coming back from a serious injury last season meant it took him longer to get up to speed.

You dont play regularly in Hollands midfield if your no good!

Last three displays have been awesome and cant see how he can be dropped!

wrighty that was my point mate! i said there is only one other better deffensive mid out there and that is Yaya and the more and more i see NDJ play i cant see past the guy! the guy is an animal! wins 80% at least of his tackles and ok he may not play 50/60/70 yard balls but he is not there for that! he is there to win the ball simple pass to gaz baz robbi SWP etc and get us on the attack! yet another captain without the arm band, against fulham in the cup i was sat in the Colin Bell instead of my usual seat in the south and before extra time he was walking round getting everyrhing up 4 it! one if not my favourite city player! i love the player no-ones mentions and go's about his game like he should! and people are now seeing the real side of him!

De Jong De Jong De Jong De Jong De Jong De Jong De Jong De Jonggggggggggggg
De Jong De Jong

my only thought at the time is we paid too much, that was a january thing i think, better to ensure his signiture than fanny around till the summer when all and sundry would have bid.

as with bellamy a brilliant buy, in hughes we trust.

Thats the problem, these people who slag off our own just quickly disappear back under the rock they crawled out from. De Jong is world class in his position yet because it isn't required to be a flair player in that position people dont tend to notice the hard work that is being put in.

Usually the people with limited football knowledge or that haven't played the game above pub level.
