It was usually us with a little help from Newcastle who would sometimes look after it for us but the 'fuck it up' baton would always be ours.

In no way would I ever like to go back to those days but the league does seem to be missing a self destruct team at the moment.

Sure we can laugh at the Rags, Liverpool flirted with it before the takeover, Arse looked close to imploding and perhaps still do with the board room but seem to have steadied the ship.

But there's no pure balls up team about at the moment.

Everton have been that team in the last 2 years. Getting in contention for Europa league and missing out. Now they are in a relegation battle by the looks of things they could be surprise team to go down this season. No money to buy players with a potential takeover on the cards it could go to shit there fast.

what i have seen in recent weeks stoke need to be careful , with one eye on europa where they are doing well, seem to have lost that desire in premier matches, spent alot of money on crap.

Not according to Damocles, although to be fair it was more sort of a wish list I posted in the who's going down thread. I still think they are so lacking in goals that they could struggle this season.

The thing is if they are still down around the relegation zone come January then I would expect bids for any of there half decent players. Rodwell and Coleman may well be sold if the takeover doesnt happen and I think IF a top job comes up then Moyes will try and get out for it.

Could be Everton, but its just poor finances rather than calamity. I think its too early to say we've passed it on.
