Who is sold between now and deadline day ?

Actually now that I think about it.. since Echeverri and Reis already went on loan.. we only need 2 foreign players to leave.. but 3 would be a good number so we can call Reis back if needed.

I'm fairly confident Nunes is going nowhere and will be our main RB this season.

Highly unlike we lose any of the domestic players besides Grealish and Kalvin.

But the foreign number has to come down to 17.

If I were to wager a guess.. the most likely are:

1 goalkeeper leaves from Ortega or Ederson (Trafford)

Kova (opening up Nico G's pathway into the team)
Akanji (opening up Khusanov's pathway into the team)
Gundo (opening up Reijnder's pathway into the team)

Savinho if Levy pays up 130 mil or so.

In that case we'd need a new keeper.

Also if Ake and Akanji both go, we need a replacement, preferably HG. Maybe Guehi if the dippers haven't tied him up already. It'd be a nice solution but can't see both of them leaving. Hopefully it's Ake that stays.

I'd love Ederson to stay but only if he signs a new deal. Keeping a 32 year old who wants to leave for one more season when we have the option to get the best shot stopper in the world at a bargain price seems a no brainer. I get the feeling Eddy fancies hanging around 1 more year and banking himself a nice Saudi signing on fee though.

The transfer window is often just one big phoney war. Had the deadline been two weeks ago then what's about to happen in the coming week would have already happened by now. Frankly, the whole thing just drags on far too long whilst every party tries to eek out the best deal for themselves. Then, when time runs out - crash, bang, wallop - a load of movement takes place.

It just all feels chaotic this time. We need to offload Phillips, Wilson-Esbrand, Kabore and Ortega just to take us down to 26 senior professionals. This is clearly too many players for Pep. Take Ederson, Akanji and Gundogan out of the equation and we're at 23, but Donnarumma coming in takes us back to 24.

So that's seven out and one in, but still no right-back and still huge issues in midfield, in my opinion. That's a lot to do in a week.
