Strong arguments for Phil and rodders I guess but for me Akanji and Ake are well in the conversation. Good starts for Doku and Gvardiol too

Rodri for me. I would agree that the other names you have mentioned have also been excellent but for me Rodri has been our outstanding and most influential player.

Rodri, the drop off when he doesnt play is immense. If he wasn't banned those 3 matches, we'd have the title won by now.

So many it is hard to choose one. Maybe a poll for the best defender, defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder and forward, but that is tricky because Pep tends to play most of the team in any of those positions. Rodri or Foden because they deserve it, Ake and Akanji would be dark horses, and let’s not forget how good Alvarez has been, especially early and late season. Kev misses out for me because he missed so much of the season. Oh wait, what about Bernado? Impossible to choose. Gvardiol and Kovacic have impressed of late too
