I think we'll sign at least 2, ideally 3.
My guess is a midfielder is the main target as that's the main source of our issues in my opinion. Ideally a midfielder whose 1st instinct is to play the ball forward, is physical and offers something different than what we have currently. The other I would say a defender given the constant injuries were having in that area. We need cover for Haaland aswell, but I think in the forward areas we've got enough there especially with Bobb coming back in Feb to cause teams problems if we can fix up the areas behind them and give them quicker service.
As for names, not a clue. The ideal would be Bruno G/Zubimendi in midfield but would be surprised if we signed any of them.

I suspect the plan was, when we let Alvarez go, to switch to a false 9 when giving Haaland a break (Foden, Grealish, Gundogan, Kev) but injuries have meant that they’ve been needed elsewhere.
On January, I’d like to assume we have deals lined up given it’s been chronically obvious we need bodies since Rodri got injured but given our MO, I wouldn’t be surprised to end up with nobody and pray Pep performs a miracle with what he has.
Gibbs-White and Cunha would be on my list. For what it’s worth.

can’t see anyone from the premier league coming - clubs all have sufficient cash to hold off until the summer and/or won’t risk the downturn of losing a player in case it costs them Europe or league status. Release clauses or clubs in difficult financial situations will be where we look I assume. Barca? Portugal as they don’t have much cash but it’s a tight top 3 so again may not sell. Other than that struggling bar some Italian clubs. I think Douglas Luiz and Sam Ricci are the most likely.
