Been asked by the Sabotage Times to write an article about the City youth set-up.
My knowledge of it is pretty standard really - I know the most promising lads coming through and I know general details about the investment and commitment thats gone in to it recently.

But the website is also asking five others to write about their clubs - United, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea - and so obviously I want to portray us well against our rivals and, after all, knowledge is power.

So if there are anyone out there who really knows their stuff about the youth level and particularly our plans for the future then I'd really appreciate any imput either in this thread or via a private message.

From my end I'll make sure I'll do us proud in the article whilst also having a little dig at the media darlings down south who hardly bring through any of their own talent in comparison to ourselves, United and Liverpool.

Well aren't we involved in the new european league for next season at U21 and U19? Against the likes of Barcelona and Celtic. But here's a website, not official but has a lot of correct information on as there are a few lads at my school who play for City and England.

my dad runs the above sight and used to do the reports on reserve and academy games for the club, so your best bet is probably him, either contact him on http://mcfcreservesandacademy.co.uk/
or pm me and il give you his email address or something.

Cheers mate. I've PMed you back.

Just as a general back-up to my own views, what are everyone's opinions to the young lads on the threshold now? Who is most likely to make it, either here or at another club?

I was having a chat with someone the other night who works within the Academy and they say it is an absolute shambles. People getting pushed sideways, some stabbed in the back, money-men running it instead of football people, the future is bleak I'm told. Steve Eyre couldn't get up to Rochdale quick enough (good luck by the way) and quite a few will be following him out the gates of Platt Lane.

A few lads i reckon will make it, somewhere if not City but at the high level
Alex Henshall
Courtney Husbands
George Evans
Harry Bunn - probably away from City
