On balance I think he did a good job for the club, but my life isn't exactly empty without him

I remember Gary Cook claiming that although he didn't know much about City, he knew more about Brand Marketing than all the City fans in the World put together.

Four years later City are now one of the best marketed clubs in World Sport.

I don't miss him at all.

I was one of his more vocal critics (the constant PR gaffes made the perception towards us so bad at times) but we've been unable to sign players like we used to since he left us. Hopefully the arrival of Ferran Soriano should correct matters as Barca are one of the very, very best.
