He wouldn't do that bad a job under the present circumstances. You'd have a slow start, would become difficult to beat (albeit still beaten sometimes) but then have a stronger second half of the season to sustain a top half finish. Not bad considering the influence Moyes had at Everton. It would be akin to the job Hughes did at Fulham where he had to follow Roy Hodgson.
Personally felt Hughes should have bided his time at Craven Cottage. It's a nice job in a good area. No disrespect to working in Liverpool...
