who next for everton?

Can only see Martinez going there really. If I was an Everton fan I'd be happy about it all to be honest, might give the board a bit of a kick up the arse.

Martinez seems an obvious choice, but on closer inspection there are a few questions.
Would he put up with the Everton board? He has a good relationship with Whelan.
Does he think he can really change the Everton style of play as much as he would want? He seems dedicated to the style Wigan play
Could he get another job, a club with more money to spend?

There are a few other questions as well. The other side of the coin is that Everton may well have identified other potential managers given they've had a while to think about it. Maybe there are a few names in the hat that we wouldn't come up with too easily.

I wouldn't be surprised if its Moyes, but I equally wouldn't be surprised if its somebody most of us don't really know.

I said Martinez at the start of the thread, but the more Ive thought about it the more Allardyce and his contract situation come into my thinking

Allardyce and Everton? That's a match made in heaven. Nearly as bad as Pulis.

Exactly! No need to change the rancid style of play. Martinez would want to completely change the club top to bottom

Big Sam has got business at West Ham. He said the contract is there and nothing will be signed until they're safe. This is now the case.
