Bit before my time, but heard him on Blue Tuesday on GMR earlier, and all he was going on about was how it didn't quite work out for him at City (although he was a record signing for a defender at the time?)

Why didn't it work out, what's the script here?

Any of you older sorry more mature fans care to shed any light?

He had a twin, Ron. I actually can't remember if he played for us too.

Edit. Yes he did.

Didnt Ron headbutt Larry Lloyd ?

He was tipped to be the new Bobby Moore, very skilful for a defender, but turned out to be incredibly error prone. Too much expectation perhaps

I remember Ron scoring a hat-trick at Stamford Bridge in a 4-1 win, mind you Chelsea were pretty crap at the time!

Paul was a footballing CB, very good on the ball but as said a bit error prone.

Shame Blue Tuesday has lost Paul Simpson to Derby Co.
Judging by how they are getting on at the moment though, he'll be back soon!
(losing 4-1 at home to Ipswich). Come on Mick McCarthy!
