Who should be our number 1 for world cup??

Hart. The reason I think he's ready, aside from his talent, is his confidence. Sometimes when keepers suffer a knock to their confidence, and I think this applies to Rob Green, by letting in an early goal or making a fumble or a blunder, they won't recover. Hart will I think. He's got a bit of cockyness that I think most of the best players have.

I didn't even like James when he was at City. There's a reason the word 'calamity' is never far away when James is around.

I like Rob Green but I cannot see on which attribute I'd rate him ahead of Hart.

If it was as simple as picking the form keeper then it's got to be Hart. However the inclusion of Green in the squad proves form isn't actually all that important, Paul Robinson should have been in the squad ahead of Green.

I think Capello will go with David James simply due to his age and experience, with Green as his number two and Hart the third choice.

Can't see Hart getting a start, I think they'll pick James, maybe Green, going with experience and known talent, Hart had one good season at Birmingham, but a lot of players can have a decent season..he's not proven though, not on the international stage and I can't see him been given a go and experimented at the World Cup, that said, he might been given a chance. But I don't see it. I see him beint 3rd choice with James starting.

And for all the keepers, who ever starts, I don't envy them at all, the ball that they've to play with. A nightmare for keepers apparently.

Should be Hart, what with Capello's assurances he'll be picking form players

Will be Green

Joe should be number 1. I think Capello will play James. There's somthing about Capello that i can't put my finger on?

Its not just Capello , its seems to be an English trait to rely on an ageing goalkeeper and let it cost us look at Shilton in 1990 and Seaman in 2002. I have a feeling if James plays then James 2010 can be added to that list.

Capello would give his right nut to have the problem of England managers in the late 70's and early 80's............they had Shilton, Clemence, Corrigan and Phil Parkes to choose from. All 4 of them would walk into this England side.
I think Capello will go for James

Good point mate, i don't know if anyone will agree but in my opinion we (England) should have aan english manager surely?

In a strange way i hope Hart doesn't get it, because if he does get it and makes a mistake it could finish his career off. See numerous keepers but most recently Scott Carson v Croatia. He utterly fell apart after that

Form: Hart, Green, James(because of his long absence for his club)
Accustomed to pressure: Green(the way his club did in the league), Hart, James(No pressure at his club)
Experience: James, Green, Hart.
Shot stopping ability: James, Hart. Green.
Error-prone: James, Green/Hart.
