I've posted before to this effect. I think he'd fight our corner brilliantly. He's articulate and properly knows and gets what this club is about.

In general terms, the club should be doing more lobbying to broadcasters in this regards. Someone to talk positively about the club otherwise than through gritted teeth.
Yep good local lad from Denton as well
Exactly. Only (I think) Andy Hinchcliffe fits that billing who currently is an ex-player/broadcaster on National TV.

Most of the names mentioned with a clear City past are just too even-handed to do a hatchet job on anyone else. They see the club for what they have been, and for what they've become, and have a far greater sense of what football across the board is about, than the one-eyed, odious examples of 'presentation' as delivered by the likes of Owen, Scholes, et al.

They'll never have buzzer on again after they sniggered and pointed at him with his 'one day we'll come back here and hammer united' performance. Every other club has some ex player brown nosing, we get Paul scholes and his snide empty seats comments

Buzzer was berated for his call, by some on here too. He was an 'embarrassment', apparently.
The very same day that Khaldoon did his half time team talk and The Fixer wummed his way to Internet notoriety.

we dont have high profile ex players recognisable to the sky viewers , in a few years time when players like vinny , joe and zabs have retired , their achievements for our club , will be remembered , and will be regarded high profile , and they could make great pundits and would hopefully be biased as f*ck . Until then we will have to put up with ex rags like the ginger pig and the chuckle brothers , begrudgingly praising another city premiership triumph
