Who should be the next leader of the Tory party?

ahhhh - the good old days - are you old enough to remember Thatchers "Right to Rent" policy? No me neither........ Welcome to Tory Britain 2022

Oh, good for her. A new minimum wage of £75,000 a year for all so they can aspire to the tory dream.

Meanwhile, on planet earth.......

Imagine how many renters will default, they know that the new rules been brought in that they will 6/12 months they can effectively not pay whilst the landlord has to try and go the legal route to get them out, the renter uses the money to pay gas/electric food etc to survive. Thee will be millions doing this, then the landlords can’t absorb the cost, default on their mortgages and lose their investments. It’s building up to catastrophic levels on everything, I don’t think people realise what is going to happen or as the lady I spoke to on Radio Manchester yesterday said she had been burying her head in the sand upto know but is now getting worried. BE AFRAID VERY AFRAID.

The new Tory way?

I'm a bit confused. Are they going to legislate to force mortgage lenders to give loans to particular people? That doesn't sound particularly like a free market.

You can already pay a fiver a month to record your rental payments on your credit record, so unless the government is going to pay that for you, what does "incorporate" mean? It all sounds a bit nanny state.

Its really odd how a "freedom" party is exerting more control over what we can and cannot do day by day

Not forgetting the law to allow people to buy something that belongs to someone else as in buying a housing association house.
They sold billions of assets that belonged to all of us, rich or poor.
