Who should be the next leader of the Tory party?

I suspect Truss has this in the bag. Policy wise, her tax cutting instincts are in tune with the Tory membership and the needs of the country. Sunak is coming across as arrogant, patronising and smarmy. The look of horror and then concern on Truss's face when the presenter collapsed last night has humanised her and made her more relatable. Hugely ironic that she's probably spent days rehearsing answers to every possible question and it's something spontaneous that nobody could have prepared for that clinches it for her.
Really? I thought it made her look weak, reactionary and the sort of person who would not be able to keep calm under pressure or surprise.

Today it was a TV presenter fainting. How would she react in a moment of war or terror attack?

Also - this was very telling.

Truss's panic and moment of shitting her knickers when someone fainted in front of her yesterday demonstrates just what you don't want in a potential world leader.

Suits me fine - they are scraping rotten apples off the bottom of a barrel and Sunak is the slightly least off and whiffy of the two which is why Truss will win and which is why it will suit me. Over 12 years the Tories have ruined this country and the shit storm that is about to envelop us this coming winter is coming anyway so its in everyone's interest that someone who in reality wouldn't be employed as a teaching assistant get the top job and hastens the end of Tory rule and the decimation of the Tory party as it splits into factional groups broadly anti-EU vs Pro-EU vs those who hate Forriners and get so caught up in their posturing they totally ignore peoples inability to get adequate food to meet their needs. heat their homes and travel to work never mind go on holiday.

I suspect she would shit her knickers if she was told there were no Hob Nobs available for todays Cabinet meeting as she knows they are JRM's favourite - austere and they don't fit to do that vulgar dipping thing in his bone china crockery

Did she rush to help or rush to away from the scene?

She moved towards McCann after the initial pause, but then the broadcast was cut (understandably).

I don't blame her for being shocked, it's not a pleasant thing to happen. I don't think her reaction is too important though, as it is rare that an instantaneous decision would be needed.

Not sure the country needs 15% inflation and 7% interest rates tbh, and that’s what the best case scenario projections look like with her plan

God the whole thing is like picking which method you'd like to be killed by.

One side you have Axe to the face and then the other side you have Flayed alive.

Well, we saw that differently then. I thought she was genuinely shocked and showed concern for a fellow human, good to see actually.

What would you have liked her to do?
