No no! We can allow Arsenal to beat United as long as they lose one other game along the way. Then obviously if United also lose to Chelsea, CFC and MUFC will be level on points. Then two can scrap it out from there hopefully with Chelsea coming out on top.

But as for us, if we win our two games in hand on Arsenal we'll be 2 points behind them. Then Arsenal, after beating United, lose their next game, and we win the corresponding game, we'll be ahead of them by one point. Then all we need to do is match them in our last few games and we finsih third!

I've got it all planned out!


Haha, no! In all seriousness, I am literally taking it - with the old cliche - one game at a time. Let's just concentrate on Blackburn today. If we make plans beyond that and then we go and lose today it's all just a waste of predictions!

Stoke beat Arsenal in the league and cup last season. And we won at Goodison just 23 months ago, it's not like we've gone 35 years without beating them!

When we've finished getting all giddy over beating the rags in a one-off game, we should remember we haven't won two league games on the trot in 2011. I'm still worried about getting 4th, let alone 3rd.

Tonight is huge. If we can get 3 points tonight then, imo, Spurs are going to have to hit a magnificent run of form to get 4th (or we'll have to completely fall apart). We haven't looked great away from home though for a while, tonight it needs to change.

If we hit a bit of decent form now then very possible. We wouldn't have to win every match as Arsenal look like they could drop points anywhere at the moment. In all probability though, 4th looks more realistic and I'd be more than happy with 4th tbh.
