Who Was Your First Ever

Uwe, of course!

At first because he had that imbroglio with the rag steward in the away section at a swamp Derby while he was out injured. After that, because he and Satan/Alan Ball were at such odds. And there was nothing on earth I hated more than that twat Alan Ball. Probably still is nothing.

The history buff in my always liked the part about his granddad as well.

Second true "favourite" was probably Super Kevin. Though pretty quickly overtaken by Andy Morrison.

Peter Barnes. First started going to games regularly in mid 70s and loved the way he tried to beat, and more often than not did, full backs with his trickery. Anyone remember the Peter Barnes Football Trainer :)

Although I'd seen a number of games with my father, my first full season watching the Blues was 1965-66 and I was 12

There were so many great players in that team that went on to win the 2nd Division title:-

Jimmy Murray, Johnny Crossan, Ralph Brand, Glyn Pardoe, Alan Oakes, Mike Doyle, Neil Young, Mike Summerbee and Colin Bell

Wow what a team we had then even in the 2nd Division

I was at Colin Bells debut at Derby when he scored

It really is a toss up between Buzzer, Colin and Mike Doyle

I think I have to go for Buzzer because of his personality which was infectious closely followed by Colin and Mike Doyle

Crazy thing about that season was the FA Cup attendances we had - 52k+ for Blackpool, 56k for Leicester and 63k for Everton

The King

My grandad loved Peter Doherty, Dave Ewing and Bert. He always reckoned Bert was better than big Swifty.

tony coleman , unsung hero of our '68 team , i think big mal signed him for £10,000 from doncaster after he had just chinned their coach and they wanted rid of him , proper winger who was hard as nails always gave 100% , (he was a scouser , but i wouldnt hold that against him)
