Who will we sell

If we can get a decent fee for the Beast and Garcia I think it will be them.

It all seems to depend on Jimmys decision with regards him going, if he wants a new challenge then i can't see us passing up a large fee for him.

With the so called 'deadwood', Rodwell, Micah, Sinclair already seemingly out of the door.

If the majority of the above move then a move forBarkley seems inevitable, with a possible change of system, of 1 up top, Aguero or Dzeko. And one in behind, Silva, Jovetic, Yaya or possibly Barkley?

IMO Sinclair a definite out either on loan or for a small fee if we can get one.

Richards is more than likely to go because a) Didn't sign the contract offered to him and b) Sagna signed. Of course he could still opt to stay and see out the remaining year, I wouldn't have a problem with that as one of the very few long time servants of the club (12 years - I believe) and would again provide cover for the right back and centre back but he must know that his playing for the club will be very limited.

Rodwell I believe it is more likely he will stay and be given another year to see if he is fit enough to get through the games without injury. For the club a risk, but given the cover signed in midfield with Fernando that risk is not too great. However if the press are anything to go by there appear to be a number of clubs interested in him and depending on any future acquisitions he could be sold to provide an income.

Milner, all down to the player. As alluded in another thread, he has an extension of his contract there to be signed, he hasn't signed it because he wants assurances over playing time. I also see he has been told to think about it on holiday and I have no doubt Pellegrini will want a word with him when he returns. Further the club because of the limit on homegrown / association trained players may want him also to see out his contract, strikes me as a level headed player who if told to stay would not kick up a fuss and still give 100% on the field.

Yaya, I believe he will be told he is going nowhere this year unless a suitable buyer comes in and matches our valuation. I also suspect that we won't sell to a club in this country either. Whether he will accept that and still give 100% only time will tell.

Negredo, I think that the club will only sell if we receive our evaluation on him. No doubt he will perform 100% if told he is going nowhere.

Garcia I believe he will be sold irrespective of the role he played last year and has given no indication he wants to leave. With the Fernando signing I cannot see beyond domestic cup games when he will play. Of course we cannot force a player out of the door but we can determine which players are included in the 17 foreign and 16 foreign players allocations for the squad rules. If he wants to be excluded from playing in prem league and CL and be content with cup appearances so be it.

De Michelis - I believe no way will he be allowed to leave this year, grown into the role but I do suspect he might be the one to miss out on CL foreign players squad enabling rotation on Kompany and Mangala to take place in prem league games.

Nastisic - He qualifies (i think) as under 21 for both prem league rules and CL rules so selling him as a "foreigner" will not allow us to give his spot another foreign player in fact it would only compound the problem. Unique position for him this year next year may be different.

Maybe because of all the above uncertainties and the money we have spent in the transfer window it is not surprising that signing a Vidal or Barkley are unlikely this year.

Finally we don't know how many players Pelligrini wants in his squad, last year he insisted on two for every position. If that is the case The one from the above most at risk IMO would be Garcia.

Richards,Sinclair,Rodwell,Garcia,Milner,Guidetti and Yaya,if we can find a buyer, would be my list.

About 60-65m income hopefully. We could spend that very well.

I think we might see a few loans if certain players can't be sold.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Garcia loaned out because I don't see anybody paying the fee we would want.

I also think Demichelis will get dropped from the CL squad, either him or Clichy because Mangala can play left back, so can Zabaleta.

Isn't Clichy home grown?

He is home grown for PL purposes but the requirements for CL are that half of the home grown berths are reserved for players that also are qualified as club trained and Clichy cant occupy one of those slots nor can Hart.

I probably have missed it but has anyone seen if the requirement within the 5 home grown player requirement in the champions league is for 2 or 3 club trained players?

Last season Citys CL squad was 23 as opposed to the allowed 25. That was in part because City didn't have 4 club trained players. The only home grown players that qualified were Richards & Boyata

Just 1 club trained.

He qualified last season as an under 21 in the PL but turned 21 on 28 March so wont be counted as such next season. As he hasn't been at an English/ Welsh club for 36 months prior to the end of season 2013/14 he will. I think will ,if selected, be counted in the 17 "foreigners"

In terms of the CL I think that last season he couldn't be counted as an under 21 player (the B list) as he hadn't been at City for 24 moths meaning he had to be named in the 25 man CL squad

All depends on what we do with huws and zucclinni if they go out on loan I can't see us selling milner rodwell and garcia and leaving us with 3 center mids need at least 4 possibly 5.

Just a thought instead of getting rid of 2 players could we say to demichellis and mangala we will register 1 for the group stage and replace him with the other in the knockout stages as of next season we will be back up to the full 17 thoughts???

Decent assessment without putting your nose on the chopping block.

If Mangala comes in we have to off load one of Garcia/ Nasty / Negredo but if Negredo goes Guidetti will stay.

In my opinion we must keep Negredo , Aquerro, Dzeko and Jovetic for this season at least but if one goes we must replace them with a quality striker.

Guidetti has no future at City short or long term.

In my opinion we will sell Sinclair, Richards, Guidetti for sure before the end of August.

That brings us to a squad of 25 which is the size we will take in to the start of the season notwithstanding some uncertainty over Garcia / Nasty , Negredo , Milner and Yaya.

Boyata has to go for his own sake as well but we can replace him if need be by promoting someone from the under age squads.

Micah has played his last game for us no doubt last season.
