Who would you have as the Manager???

I want to stick with Hughes, if it was last season we would of lost most of these recent draws, and i no everyone expects more but we need to give the team a chance. If we sack Hughes the team will be in shambles.
Yes Mourinho is the special one, best in the world maybe,
Theres experienced managers like Scolari but i like Hughes..

*edit -
Why is everyone so critical these days,
Robi has one bad game aand everyone wants to cash him in,
5 draws, 6th in table with a game in hand means we need a new manager,
Maybe its me being a city fan but you need to be patient, i cant wait any longer for some silverware, yes but if everyone moans continuously it just makes things worse.

Hughes until the end of next season, but he needs to learn and change his backroom support.

We need stability, Hughes needs time.

THE SPECIAL ONE

Best manager in the world IMO.

Being realistic though, would he even consider moving to City???

Despite the delusion of some of our fellow blues, he aint coming anywhere near this club - not until we're in the champions league, and if we got in the CL we'd have no reason to sack Hughes anyway.

Hiddink (after the WC) would probably do it I reckon. He's a top class, experienced manager and took to the premier league like a duck to water in his brief spell as a PL manager (admittedly with an already more experienced and gelled group of players) - and the crucial factor is I think the bigger name players - those that are already here, and those we'd want to sign in future - would simply respect him more than Mark Hughes, who was a decent player but who's managerial career doesn't inspire the same respect.

Man City's two most important games of the season might just be next week in Moscow and Maribor. I reckon that if Russia is out of the World Cup that a change might be made soon, and that if they end up qualifying, they'll stick with Hughes until the summer.

i said a year ago n il repeat again.

its Mancini or Rijkaard.

mourinho wants rag job next. give it till Dec.... Hughes will be out!

myth based on very little.

I agree he's not an option for us either anytime soon though.

Martin Jol. A top class coach is needed. It's easy to pay big money and get quality players, but getting them playing decent football, as a team is tough. Jol is very highly respected as a coach, but also has the presence to deal with big egos. He was twice voted Dutch coach of the year and Ferguson was close to appointing him as his coach for the rags before the Portuguese bloke came back. Arnesen (not levy) appointed him as coach at Spurs and again it was a football man and not chairman who appointed him at HSV. Basically he's not a glamorous name so doesn't appeal to chairman who know little about football, but those in the game seem to really respect him.

He was praised for the job he did at Spurs, but with hindsight he did an even better job than was given credit for at the time. Everyone is praising Redknapp for what he's done, but he wont match Jol. It was when the French D of F went to Spurs they started wasting money on mainly shit players, but Jol got the blame. I also don't think he got the credit for what a great job he did at Hamburg. Becasue they finished 4th the previous seaason and are doing well now, Jol's year there seems largelly undistinguished, but that doesn't tell half the story. They sold VDV, Kompany and De Jong and didn't replace any of them, yet they still challenged for the title until the last month of the season and got to 2 semi finals, despite terrible injuries.

I know most want a big name, who has won things etc, but I want a quality coach who has shown he can get the most out of a team and improve players.
